*20080702 - Overrated. This movie is significant only if seen as the story of a man captive to guilt, who finds the hope of redemption, but fails again and spirals down into the abyss. Which could have been a good story. But it never reveals what the man feels guilty about, and what the new hope is a substitute for. It only hints at these things. So it ends up being more of a movie about boxing then about anything else, and as such is ultimately a failure.
